The Rothenbuhler Honey Bee Laboratory at The Ohio State University
was dedicated in 1989. It houses approximately 6,000 square feet of space
divided into offices, laboratories for research in behavioral physiology,
and facilities to teach beekeeping and honey bee breeding.
We maintain about 200 colonies, mostly the of new World
Carniolan stock developed by Susan Cobey.....
Our facilities support a training program in breeding
of honey bee genetic stocks...
And we have an extramurally funded progam in behavioral
physiology...
