Collecting trips: Last year squeezed in a 2 week field trip through Cape York Penninsula, eventually reaching the northern tip - no such luck this Australian winter.
Museum trips: Off to Adelaide in September for Aust. ent. Soc. AGM - should be opportunity to spend time with Andy Austin talking over some joint projects.
Other activities: September 94 - received Whitley award for best Australian zoological textbook (Systematic and Applied Entomology, published by Melbourne Univ. Press in 1994). (Congratulations, eds.)
Projects in progress: 1. Diapriidae of Australian wet tropics area (Cooktown to Townsville, especially rainforest species). 2. New World Ambositrinae (with Marta Loiácono of La Plata). 3. Generic review of Australian Pompilidae, with Mick Day and Andy Austin. 4. Revision of Australian cleonymine Pteromalidae. 5. Several small papers on sawflies of Australia.
Papers published or in press: Eds.: We could not find the attached list of recent publications. Send them to us again, and we promise to include them in the next PROCTOS.
Personal news: In recent years, I was heavily involved in administration and editing (books, J. Aust. ent. Soc.). My other many taxonomic projects are at near standstill.
