Collecting trips: My major survey areas are East and Southeast Asia; e.g. Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, continental China, Thailand and Malaysia.

Other activities: I obtained the Biogeographical Society of Japan Award for 1993. (Congratulations, eds.)

Projects in progress: I am preparing a revision of the Japanese Bethylidae (Chrysidoidea). This questionnaire was sent to me by my friend Dr. K. Yamagishi of Meijo University, a Japanese Proctotrupidologist.
