Genus Protostephanus Cockerell, 1906 [Extinct]

Interpretation:
1. Darkest spot is the pterostigma;
2. Traces of the hind wing can also be seen.
NOTE: This is the holotype of P. ashmeadi Cockerell, from the shales of
Florissant (Colorado, USA). The condition of the specimen is
very bad, and some features in this picture have been enhanced by especial
photographic techniques and image processing in a computer.
